Mentorship Extra Blog Post
For my mentorship me and my organization had did a beach clean up two weeks ago on a Saturday at Laguna Beach. We had used two reusable bags one for trash and the other for recycling. We went out and picked up trash for hours. All we found was mostly plastics and cigarettes all over the sand. It was very heartbreaking to see this how people don't even care about helping out the environment and rather risk the lives of so many marine mammals. But by the end of the day we had picked up over 1,000 pieces of trash. Which isn't a huge difference but its good enough to start with.

Blog 5 - Mentorship and Research Reflection
1. Mentorship question: Describe your experience in how you found your mentorship? If you haven't found one yet, describe your experience so far in the search of a mentor.
I found my mentorship through a friend of mine named Nick who had volunteered for my mentor for several years. I had contacted him before my sophomore year and started to begin myself to volunteer for him. Then I had developed it to be my mentorship for my senior project since I'm very familiar with the people who run it and since I've been volunteering there for about over two years now.
2. Research question: What has been your most important article you have read so far and why?
The most important article I have read so far is the article "Wildlife Rehabilitators Do More Than People Realize" ; because it was very descriptive on the benefits of wildlife rehabilitates and it had gave me a more understanding on what else I can do as working in a wildlife rehabilitation facility.
