Being part of such a great organization such as planet rehab leads you to many opportunities to explore your wild side. To be the solution to these animals lives was a great honor to me. Just to be able to interact with them and care for them during my mentorship was such a great adventure for me. I am glad to say that I will still continue to volunteer at Planet Rehab and hopefully be able to make my senior project be amazing.

Mentorship at Planet Rehab
Ive been volunteering at Planet Rehab since freshmen year so it wasn't something new to me but something I grew up to learn by. But this summer for my mentorship I had participated in many things such has being able to interact with the animals such as buddy the goat who became my best friend even after the fact he has rammed me before. But what I was able to do this summer was not only be able to interact with them but was able to care for them as well with feeding and nurturing them. Another thing I had done during my mentorship was being able to participate in the La Verne fourth of july parade with my organization and had walked through the parade with some of our goats we care for and help make Planet Rehab be known. One thing you need to do when being a non-profit organization is that you need to make yourself known, so you can help get sponsors to help support your organization. Because without your sponsors how else would your organization survive.

4. What is the most important thing you gained from this experience? Why?
The most important thing I had gained from this experience was the understanding of how our world is, and what I mean by that is all the pollution that is cause by mankind. Also the horrific choices us humans make on how we treat our environment; as well with our animals. It had opened my eyes to want to make a change in this world. Not to become a bystander but a hero in our natures eyes to help protect was lost and restore what we had taken away from our planet.

5. What is your senior project topic going to be? How did what you did help you choose a topic? Please explain.
My senior project topic is going to be on animals rehabilitation. It helped me choose this specific topic because by volunteering at a animal sanctuary it had helped me discover my inner self and how I want to help raise injured animals that need help and a home; to get all the care they need.
